When CBS announced the retirement of disgraced news anchor Dan Rather, did you first check with the Internet bloggers, also known as the pajamahadeen, before you believed it?
If you checked, that might be because of the CBS credibility gap Dan Rather helped widen a few days before Election Day. Unbelievable things also happen in our little slice of heaven around here. You can read about some in today's stream of unconsciousness. Courage:

I think the red bits of NYS and PA need to band together to form a new state.

If it weren't for the Dem. thieves in Philly, PA would have gone to Bush. New York is hopeless. (nah, just drop NYC off the state.)
Gunga Dan said that at the end of his broadcasts, don't remember for how long. It was weird.
Did you see the county map of NYS? Most of our counties are red :)

If only I had the universe's largest recip saw, I'd cut NYC off and shove it into the Atlantic. And, paraphrasing the late Charles Lichtenstein, wave a fond farewell as it sailed off into the sunset.
My vote is to do away with toll takers. They are basically just really, really overpaid, inefficient tax collectors.
