Okay - change the hair in that cartoon to red, add a pair of wood crutches (I thought the metal hollow set would give them grief - little did I know) and that WAS ME on Nov. 13th, returning from Florida.
The wanding, 3 times, and the hands on my body, 3 times, was ridiculous.
The TSA witch doing the checking seemed to have Alzheimers and couldn't remember that she had ALREADY CHECKED ME, THREE TIMES.
At that point, since my flight was now boarding, I looked at the two guys who were watching and told them, "I need a Supervisor". Not surprisingly, the one with the biggest smirk stepped forward and I politely suggested that they let me proceed to my gate. That in case he hadn't noticed, she had wanded my body, 3 times, and used her dang hands ON my body, 3 times, and was about to go for a fourth. Why?
I knew better than to ask, "Was this a purposeful delaying tactic or what?", but I sure felt that something like that was going on.
He motioned for me to go - which did not seem to please the idiot who had been having such a field day, checking me out.
I wisely, didn't look at her as I put on my shoes, took my crutches and proceded to my gate.
But I wrote an angry letter to the TSA when I got home, and sent them the same information via email. It still infuriates me when I think of her delaying actions. I am a very white-skinned, red-haired lady on crutches, for Pete's sake. What part of NOT looking like an Arab male, aged 19-36 do they NOT GET?
I sure hope that Bernie Kerik does a better job of instruciong TSA agents than his stupid predecessors, at DHS and TSA. Thank goodness both Ridge and what's-his-face are gone. Good riddance.
