Richmond is an odd place. They won't kill the car tax.

Better wake up Matt Drudge.

2.2 ? It's unlikely that you'll feel a 2.2 unless you're looking for it A truck driving by will shake you up more than that. IMHO and 50 years living California.

Didn't feel it, but this makes the third since May 5, 2003. The other two were stronger than this one. The one on May 5, 2003 registered 3.9 and the one on December 9, 2003 registered 4.5. I felt the first, but not the second (I was driving).
Looks like Virginia might fall into the ocean......

Heard George Noorey mention this. Caller chimed in and said that there has been pranksters (as he called them) detonating small explosives over the past 3 weeks in the sewer system, and may have the cause..Typical coast-to-coast listener reaching for a conspiracy. ..lol

In the early 1800's - in one winter, there were a series of quakes - 3 of them the most powerful in U.S. history - 5 were 8.0 or more - and rang church bells as far away as Boston! Much more powerful than the great San Francisco quake - but as there were no large cities in that area at the time - it has slipped quietly into history.
