BONDS' TESTIMONY Giants star told grand jury he used clear substance, cream provided by trainer Greg Anderson, but believed they were flaxseed oil and arthritis balm
Barry Bonds told a federal grand jury that he used a clear substance and a cream supplied by the Burlingame laboratory now enmeshed in a sports doping scandal, but he said he never thought they were steroids, The Chronicle has learned.
Federal prosecutors charge that the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative, known as BALCO, distributed undetectable steroids to elite athletes in the form of a clear substance that was taken orally and a cream that was rubbed onto the body.

I bet Bond's trainer Anderson will make a deal, and spill all the dirt on Barry Bonds really soon.
I think it can be fair to assume that both Mark McGwuire and Sammy Sosa took Steroid Flintstones Vitamins in 1998.
I know this may be an unpopular position to take but so be it. Sure this may be comparing apples to oranges, and it is off the topic a bit, but if we have learned one thing in sports it is: you can take drugs, you can beat up women, you can commit heinous acts, you can smack fans around, you can do just about anything and eventually be welcomed back and treated like a god but if you dare gamble..... your are treated like the plague. Pete Rose made many mistakes, got bad advice in a number of circles, but enough is enough. Not many people believed Pete Rose but the fans have displayed their admiration of the man's accomplishments: MLB -- put Pete Rose in the Hall.
I thought that was different---that androstenone was neither illegal nor banned by MLB when he was taking it.
If he wants to get into the hall, he can buy a ticket.
...and I didn't inhale...
McGwire was clean and he stopped using Andro when asked too...
I dont know about Sosa. Until the corked bat incident I thought you could trust him.
But McGwire was always huge. He never really got much bigger and what he did get was very natural looking, i.e. a bit of a gut, larger forearms and the like. He was able to field his position and unlike Giambi, still move.
Most Roid users get smaller in a hurry when that quit. McGwire is still huge 3 years after retirement....
Absorption through the skin organ can be near optimal...
They are banned now so in all fairness the records should have an asterisk by them.
Interesting to see Barry's testimony. Since it was all under oath he's either clean or should face prosecution.
McGuire is in the same boat.

In one of the most dramatic revelations in the arena of sports supplementation, high-profile slugger and current American sports icon Mark McGuire reported on Wednesday August 4, 1999 that he had discontinued taking the dietary supplement Androstenedione since May,1999.
thats crap...
Maris's record lasted until 1998 when McGwire and Sosa both beat him.
Hell it isnt like taking Roids will make you hit Homeruns anyway....you still have to hit 90 MPH heaters well enough to get them out in the first place....
I didn't realize Creatine REALLY did anything, much at all. The former might have.
The ends justify the means ? I remember when the east german women in the olympics looked stronger than most men.
Here's the Babe's steroids:
I have two comments regarding this statement.
First, this is why I use the Golden Flaxseed. I don't like the diameter of my skull to go up a 1/4 inch from that regular stuff the labs are handing out.
Secondly,
"Who told you to use a balm?! Did I tell you to use a damn balm?"
It does...
it ups the protein levels in your body to further induce the muscle building in your body. It just helps the muscles heal after a workout....
Here is the deal, you can take steroids all you want, but if you dont work out, you wouldnt see results like we have seen with Bonds.....
I heard with DMSO that would be probable, but I would never have guessed steroids through the skin would be an effective mechanism.
Well thanks for the information, surpises the heck out of me.
