The Aztecs have been well-known to have conducted human sacrifice. I'm not sure what's new except for more remains.

At least they weren't found with panties on their heads. . .now THAT really would have been horrific.

Thank GOD they didn't put Aztec underwear on their heads!

And to think those nasty Europeans came over and disrupted the tranquil lifestyle of the peace-loving indigenous folks of the Americas... such a shame.

No, they must have it all wrong. the indigenous peoples were a peaceful beautiful people living in harmony with nature. Never taking more than they needed, treading lightly over Mother Earth's sacred flesh. They revered all living things and never wasted a life for nothing. These silly people must have merely misplaced their heads and set about looking for them in this pyramid here. That is the only possible explanation.

Interesting discovery at central Mexico's largest pyramid. If I'm not mistaken, the pyramid of the Sun (which I climbed in 1959) is much larger than the pyramid of the Moon.
They are both in Teotihuacan

Interesting discovery at central Mexico's largest pyramid. The Pyramid of the Sun is the largest and it is also at Teotihuacan. Chichen Itza's Mayan Pyramid is rather large and I don't know if it is larger than the Pyramid of the Moon.

It's kind of interesting that the archaeologists just now discovered the bodies. What have they been doing all these years.
BTW, a tour guide once told me that they discovered a secret tunnel under the pyramid of sun. In it, they found a body. They don't show this part to the tourists. Not sure why.
