The thread was:
"Wetbacks" heard on Green Acres on November 27, 2004
Where:
I don't know. All I know is it got pulled. As I said, I am very new here. Thanks for all of the useful replies to those of you who replied so far. "Ping" especially. Wow! Very perceptive of you. Please forgive my attitude but I was told that there was a great deal of intelligence on FreeRepublic. I was not told that anti-intelligence was also so generously represented.

Maybe you forgot to post it in "breaking news". (/sarcasm off)

No anti-intelligence represented here, all forms of intelligence are not discriminated, only if the lower forms of intelligence decide they are equall to those of us with the higher level of intelligence. With me so far?

I was not told that anti-intelligence was also so generously represented. An attitude like that from a newbie is unwelcome.

The thread was: "Wetbacks" heard on Green Acres on November 27, 2004 And you honestly have no clue as to why it was pulled?
*backing away slowly* Then God go with you...for none of us will.

Dufuss, "ping" means to forward to others or to yourself for later reading. The person who pinged probably knew this thread would be fun to come back to later or wanted to share it with others.

When I first got on here just a few short months ago, I spent time watching and learning. There are still many things I can't do. I learned quickly to find a thread that was similar to what I wanted and posted "private" replies to those I thought could quietly answer my questions. They were all great and I've learned that some questions are meant for quiet dialogue. It's just manners.

Thanks for all of the useful replies to those of you who replied so far. "Ping" especially "Ping" is one of the most prolific posters here on FR. He doesn't say a lot, but he stops by nearly every thread. He seems to have a lot of friends too.

The thread was: "Wetbacks" heard on Green Acres on November 27, 2004 I would imagine the "Wetbacks" was enough to get it pulled; we don't like that kind of talk around here.
Plus, a thread with that in the title probably went downhill from there.
Learn the rules before you start demanding answers.
And if you don't understand what I'm saying, maybe the "anti-intelligence" you claim is on FR was brought to the party by you.

You outed yourself with that comment. Sit back and relax, a brief, tingling sensation is the only thing you'll feel.

Use of the term "Wetbacks" would be considered racist.

anti-intelligence was also so generously represented. Since you're a newbie...freepers like to have fun with newbies. So just ignore them...once you've been here for a while...you'll understand completely. In fact, most likely you'll be acting just like them soon. ;o)

Likely it was pulled because "wetbacks" is likely considered a derogatory term and would lead to FR being sued by the ACLU. The ACLU would love any excuse to get rid of FR.

Spikey, I'm also in Wis. I've been here almost 8 years. I've never had a thread pulled (although I don't post one every time a thought pops into my head.) I've never been banned or even warned. Read the posting guidelines, play by the rules and don't do anything to PO Jim Robinson or you'll be kitty meat!
