On the Gunny Bob Newman show and the Donna Star show here in Denver on KOA 850am tonight they have been talking about Denver mayor Hickenlooper's decision to ban the words 'Merry Christmas' from the traditional Parade of Lights downtown parade as well as any 'Christmas' float.
I wish, I'd love to engage these liberals/socialists and get it over with. It's time to put these RATS in their cages!

It is PAST time for people to stand up and say NO MORE to this kind of nonsense, through controlled civil disobedience if necessary. This kind of crap should not be allowed to stand for even ONE year. Every church in Denver should turn out their congregations to carry flashlights or light sticks and march as they sing carols and shout MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I think this mayor should be banned from celebrating anything during the Christmas season. If he accepts one gift, drinks one egg-nog, smiles at one passerby he should be sued. He does not accept the true meaning of celebrating Christmas in public. Sound silly? Yes. Does he sound silly? Yes! (Maybe 3 ghosts will come see this guy and straighten him out.)
I hope the whole town shows up with Merry Christmas signs!

I'm guessing he's one of those misguided Jews who don't like anything that suggests Christianity in public.
HE should go to the office on Christmas day, put in 8 hours - - and require that city employees also work that day. After all, we can't have government acknowledging Christmas, can we?
Maybe these Christians and other Christians could go serve some needy people in Denver instead of going to this parade. Go sing Christmas carols to people in nursing homes or to shut-ins. Spend the time collecting toys for children whose families cannot afford it. Teach some people to read. Ignore the city's parade of lights. Maybe someday they'll learn it's not the power company that is the source of light.
Is Hickenlooper Jewish? A lot of Jews, I've come to conclude, hate Christianity. That became evident when so many Jews tried to silence Mel Gibson and have his movie banned. It shocked me. Christian-haters came out of the closet - including a good number of "neocon" writers like Krauthammer and Safire.
Why should it be either/or? Why can't they enjoy some Christmas expressions in a December holiday parade (face it, if there weren't Christmas coming, we wouldn't be talking about "holidays" or having December celebrations), and ALSO do their Christian duty of bringing cheer to the lonely, etc? There's no reason we have to put up with the banning of Christmas in public settings.
Personally, I think they should be able to march in the parade. But since they cannot this year, I am only suggesting they do something good as an alternative. They could line the path of the parade and sing to the mayor as he goes by.

MASSESS OF CHRISTIANS WITH PLACARDS. LINING THE ROUTE ON ALL SIDES OF FLOATS; ON THE SIDEWALK EVERYWHERE. AND ANOTHER MASS OF CHRISTIANS AROUND THE IDIOTIC HEADQUARTERS WHEREVER THIS HIDIOCY WAS CONCEIVED AND PROMULGATED FROM.

THE CHRISTIANS IN DENVER NEED TO SLAP THE WHOLE THING BACK IN THE FACE AND DOWN
