{HELP}postal unions HATE bush(Vanity)
nalc union local newsletter | 12-1-04 | postaldave

Posted on 12/01/2004 2:11:38 PM PST by postaldave

i need some help. my latest union newsletter is so hateful to Bush is made me sick. i think a union is a good balance to management but ours, like so many others is a lapdog of the libs.

i am writing an artical to counter all this crap but i need some help.

topic.

1.the "job loss" of Bush. can someone site a source
showing the huge turn around Bush made to the positive.
2.why bush was better for postal workers then kerry
3.truth about postal reform and the postal commission.
4.and this is the BIG one, why do conservative letter carriers who support their union not vote for the liberal ticket the union endorses.

1. THIS IS YELLING!!! WELCOME TO THE INTERNET!!!

i was speaking up because you were being rather rude. sorry if i hurt your feeling.{grin} cowboy up, your talking with a postal worker.

As of my post you had yet to reply (nearly 15 minutes) in your thread. I suggested that you show that you are still here, and not a drive by poster trolling to disrupt (we get a lot of those that are very similar to your post). That's not rude, it's honest advice. BTW any large font can be construed as yelling, not just all caps.

No offense taken, but now that you've shown you're still here you'll find that many of us will try to help.

BTTT

'Anything potentially hazardous, fragile, or perishable in that article you're mailing?' 'Well, no, its a birthday card.' 'Would you like a signed receipt for that?'

Clinton fired 800,000 federal workers so some agencies could no longer function and got rid of high paid workers but could not find anyone that wanted to work for the new low pay scales. Bush on the other hand, hired thousands TSA baggage inspectors

And this is a reason to support Bush?

Similar thing happened between me and a longtime friend.

He works for the P.O., and has for many years. Two years ago, one of the big mail carts rolled down a ramp at work and crushed his knee. Tendons, nerve damage, knee cap dislocated. That put an end to his running. He then had trouble with the therapy and doctors, tried to sue the Postal Service and failed.
After not seeing him for at least 5 years, he tells me of his mishap, then says, "It's Ashcroft's fault and Bush has to get thrown out". WTF?

unions are the lapdogs of communism - they care nothing for the actual real worker.

Unions are the haven of the illiterate, useless, and incompetent.

The main job of unions is to protect their workers from competition.

The ONLY purpose of a union is to protect people with non-transferable job skills. People with transferable job skills will not willingly join a union.

i did not read beyond the first page of replies... the tacky retorts repelled me. jeez, the guy asked for help. anyone heard of communicating the truth in love? i heard about someone who suggested it a couple of thousand years ago.

after reading this thread, asking for help here is not an option for me. and as for being (or not being) a troll... consider that some republicans read this site for information and education. like me. i have been reading freep for 5 years and it has greatly increased my understanding of many important issues. i think i have posted 3 or 4 times TOTAL... because i am not here to opinionate. i am here to learn about the truth in government, etc. it sounds like a supportive observer -- possibly lacking the gifts that many of you presume to have -- could be (mis)judged as trolling. whatEVER. sad.

now, postal dave, there is a book called something close to _how to talk to liberals (if you must)_. it is on several right-wing reading lists. i have seen it at sam's club. it may help you cope better in your workplace.

p.s. forgive errors... i choose to pass on the courtesy of proof reading. what would be the point of kindness in this thread?

how to talk to liberals

first thank you for you kind response. i'm not a political master but i do believe in doing my part to retake america from the libs. many of my conservative co-workers believe as i do but don't have ANY source to help us in a union setting. i've learned to overlook the spelling nazi clan.

the book by the lovely ann coulter "how to talk to liberals" is it really helpful? i haven't read it and assumed it was more of her rantings. does she really spell what to say and how to talk to them and real issues?

I think I got a number or 780000 from a union paper trying to build up the democrats.
I had a safety class that was supposed to have 38 people in it. Only 18 showed up. One guy came in and said that the other people were no longer employed and that he wanted to take one of the slots. The next day he did not show up because he had taken an Early retirement or something. The Dept of commerce had a hard time doing getting things because some departments had no employees.

I don't carry a gestapo membership card, the membership dues are priced out of my means. I was simply parroting Poohbah's observations. Check his card, maybe he's paid up*.
