Yeah, the weather. That's another reason I'm afraid to commit. If I spend all that money and it snows (which it nearly always does in Jan), then I'm out money I can't really afford. It will be dicey for you, Jim, to drive across the country. Better fly.

I'll check out your motel map and see how close apart we will be. Okay. We'll figure out a way to do this. Where there's a will, there's a way, right? I don't want to miss this opportunity to meet you.
To: Jim Robinson
Guess we can post an updated count daily. YIKES.....I hope you do.......I can't even consider it until payday on the 15th...........

I'm bringing my daughter and her best friend, too; as an early HS graduation gift to them. They're good (conservative) kids and they deserve a night out - after all the Freeper stuff they have helped me with over these past four years.Yes, we remember your lovely daughter from CPAC 2004. What a nice graduation gift!
I am so impressed with conservative kids like your daughter and those we have met at the past two CPACs. They give me so much hope for the future of our country. These kids are a HECK of a lot smarter than I was at their age!
You guys in the D.C. Chapter have done some amazing FReeps this year - KUDOS and thank you again. See ya at the ball! :-)

Well, we're driving across the southern route to Florida and will visit several chapters along the way. We're planning on staying a few days in Florida and then up to Charleston. I guess, depending on the weather forecast, we'll have to figure out then whether we make the last hop by car, train or plane. Hope to see you there!!

If everyone gets together us newbies won't get totally lost. Yep. I'm a seasoned oldie when it comes to getting around FR, but as far as getting around DC, I'll be as lost as most everyone else. But I love an adventure and we'll find our way if we all stick together and coordinate our travels with others in our group.
Are you staying in Alexandria?

We're in for 2 Jim. Combining some business on this trip, have reservations at a hotel in DC, but would love to hook up with other freepers for dinner, exploring, fun.

I would be coming from the West. I think that Alexandria is west of DC.
I understand your concern about the weather, Nan. As much as I am looking forward to this trip, I am not looking forward to the weather there. I lived in DC many years ago, "January in DC" is imprinted on my psyche forever. I'm a Californian, we don't deal with real weather well at all. LOL.

The March for Life is on Monday for any interested in participating. My clan will be attending.
To: kristinn; Jim Robinson
I wish I could go, but I'll be going into new digs at precisely the time of the Ball.
Moving out of my house will be a Herculean task tantamount to cleaning out the Augean Stables. How does one accumulate so many "things"?
I sure would rather be in DC with my fellow freepers celebrating our great victory.
Best wishes for a successful and fun event.
