There is one minor correction to Rush's comments. It's not the CBC that stops Canadian radio stations from carrying Rush's programmes on the air in Canada. Rather, it is a government regulatory body called the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), that does so. The CBC is just the government-owned media service.
You should have seen CBC griping over President Bush's visit yesterday. Complaining that it's his first visit north in four years of his Presidency and he's only staying 26 hours.
Of course, they don't mention that it's the first Presidential visit in over ten years. That means that Clinton obviously wasn't real familiar with the streets of Canada either.
Bush had a great line in his speech though. He thanked the Canadians for their great welcome. He appreciated all the people who lined the roads to welcome him and wave, especially those who used "all five fingers."
