Matthew 26:69-70

Authorized version: "Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, 'Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.' But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest."

New: "Meanwhile Rocky was still sitting in the courtyard. A woman came up to him and said: 'Haven't I seen you with Jesus, the hero from Galilee?" Rocky shook his head and said: 'I don't know what the hell you're talking about!'"

This would be humorous if it was not such blasphemy to meddle with the Word of God. The bible warns against changing it to your whims.

Anyone who plays with the words of the bible like tinker toys does so at their own peril. He is, after all, God.

"...a "new, fresh and adventurous" translation of the Christian scriptures."

As you say it is plainly evil for one to "tinker" with the Holy Scriptures, God's Word to mankind. As if we humans could improve upon God. As if we knew how to make life more fulfilling than God who created us and gifted us with life itself?

This kind of titilating rubbish, being endorsed by the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury? Have all these Anglicans become sin lovers? Have they ever met a heretic they didn't want to embrace into the fold?

Obviously and sadly, so many of the Anglican higher-ups have lost their way and this continual display of evil inclusiveness is evidence against them and is truly sickening!
