This one is self-explanatory.
Yahoo News caption: A U.S. flag burns on the ground during a candlelight vigil against the war in Iraq on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, November 30, 2004. The vigil was part of a day of protests against the visit of U.S. President George W. Bush. (REUTERS/Christinne Muschi)
Canada has a flag? All I've seen is some sort of kid's painting of a leaf.
As long as President Bush doesn't come back from Canada saying "eh?", I'll be happy.
now that's a nice story. I will lay off them... a bit.
Oh, my ! They burned our flag?
What an original concept! So daring.
That certainly has me thinking about our country's foreign policy and whether we should change our approach because a couple hundred a**holes don't approve.
Yeah, right!
Gotta re-think your methods, demonstrators. You aren't winning the hearts and minds.
According to Rush today, 39 protestors and 42 newsmedia people turned out at one event and no protestors turned out at another planned protest rally.
After just watching Brit Hume, I noticed the roads from the airport to Ottawa were lined with people cheering and waving American flags as Mr. Bush passed by. He even remarked that people were waving at him - with all five fingers.
I think the so called hatred of Mr. Bush and America by Canadians is overblown while their left wing idiots are approximately the same as our own American left wing idiots similar to Juan Williams - America's Black Bozo the Clown.
Come to think of it, isn't there some weird thing in Monaco whereby the male heir to the throne has to have another male heir or the principality reverts back to France. I tell ya, there's always a catch with the French. Even their gifts have convoluted ifs, ands, and buts attached.
Of course there are good folks in Canada, just as there are rotten ones here and vice versa. It's just that the Left infests the Canadian government and media, so all we hear out of Canada is anti-American swill.
ROFLMAO!
Should point out that a brief skirmish between about 150 professional protesters in which one cop got bonked and a couple of protesters were arrested seems to have become a prime piece of journalism on the MSM. CNN just played it up and is putting more focus on the hecklers than on the fact that most Canadians are pleased GWB came up for a visit and we want to get our relationship back on track.... The normal relationship is where you ignore us as quaint American carbon copies and only get upset when we send down nasty weather..and we sell you a bunch of stuff to finance social programs to keep the Frenchies from bugging out.
Don't go soft on us. ;-)
Sheesh.
Well, the guy demanding free beer might be [snicker].
The free beer guy was a counter-demonstrator.
Think about it.
We should make an effort to get giant free beer signs into all the protests possible. Get into camera shots etc.
LOL! Gotta love our Dubya's dry Texas humor.
Sounds fair enough. It's a far better relationship than the one we Americans have on our southern border.
