They want to cut him off?

Correct me if I am wrong, but he asked to be "cut off".

" I preferred to be with girls and play with them,"
Which beats preferring to be with camels, like most Saudis.

I prefer to be with girls, and play with them too.
Most men do. :P

"Even as a child I felt that I was not a normal boy ... I preferred to be with girls and play with them," he told the Saudi magazine Sayidaty. Sounds like a normal healthy boy to me. I loved playing with girls when I was a boy as well - Especially the cute ones ;)

Ahmad was able to afford the sex change, which was successful.
"Successful", in a manner of speaking. Meaning probably that he didn't get sick or grossly disfigured. A real woman Ahmad ain't.
Sounds to me like this is mostly an inheritance spat.

Even as a child I felt that I was not a normal boy ... I preferred to be with girls and play with them Typical of transexuals and proof - if all the jesting Pilates on FR want to hear it - that transexualism has not got much to do with 'sex' since it typically manifests well before puberty.
Gender is absolutely mysterious stuff that sometimes doesn't line up with mere biology. Those of us who believe in a human essence beyond the physical ought to regard people whose realities are so different from their bodies as proof for our side, not as fools or perverts to be scorned.

Tough break on the inheritance and all but still it would only qualify as the second cruellest cut from my perspective!
