KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Rescuers found the wreckage of a missing plane used by the U.S. Air Force and recovered the bodies of several Americans who were aboard when it crashed in snow-covered mountains over the weekend, Afghan police said Tuesday.
The transport plane, which was carrying three U.S. soldiers and three American crew members, was located southeast of Bamiyan in the heart of the Hindu Kush mountains, said Ghulam Mohammed, a senior police official in Bamiyan.

Can you determine if your buddy was on this aircraft?
Prayer heavenward for the loved ones.
Prayers heavenward.
Was the plane white?
Huh?
Confirmed.
LTC Mike McMahon, USMA class of 1985. Two years behind me at
West Point. Married a classmate of mine (She is also an Army LTC).
Be thou at rest.
Very sad. Prayers for him and his family in particular, and for all the people on that plane.
May God comfort those who mourn..I am so very sorry.
Damn. I was Year Group '84 - a contemporary of mine.
Hoist a glass at his memory.

Prayers going up for the unfortunates. Prayers for all who knew and loved them.
The scheme of the Blackwater CASA-212s are predominately white. They have a dark colored tail fin.
had no idea USMA grads flew AF planes.
Sorry.
Know how you guys feel, we have a very long list on our War Memorial at North Georgia College. I knew everyone of them during the Vietnam era.
Prayers for those lost. Brave souls all -
But I hafta say..... if you graduated in 1984, you can't be THAT "old" sarge! ;-)
Ah, but just remember: I'm old enough to have birthed half my company, and I've worn the suit longer than they've been drawing air.
And I wasn't USMA, I was ROTC. Commissioned officers are lumped into Year Groups, regardless of commission source. As a Lieutenant, I'd have been one year his senior.
And yeah, went from officer to NCO - wierd things happen...
Thanks. Glad you pointed out CNN's typo, too.
They don't (unless the zoomie passes out or something)!
As I understand it, there were six on board: 3 crew, 3 military
passengers. McMahon had to be a passenger.
