'Choice on Earth' back for 3rd straight year: Planned Parenthood unveils controversial card

For the third straight year, Planned Parenthood, the nation's No. 1 abortion provider, is selling greeting cards with the holiday message "Choice on Earth."

This year's offering, which includes bright pink snow flakes and the now-infamous phrase, is available at the organization's online store.

Two years ago, outcry about the cards in the media, Planned Parenthood claimed, actually spiked sales of the items, as well as "Choice on Earth" T-shirts.

"'Tis the season to share with family, friends, colleagues and loved ones the message of 'choice on earth.' Place your orders now for the 2004 Holiday Card," states the card's page on the group's online store.

Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League's STOPP International, slammed Planned Parenthood for once again offering the greeting cards.

"In its continual attempt to 'normalize' abortion, Planned Parenthood has once again chosen to offend the Christian community by releasing the latest edition of its 'Choice on Earth' holiday cards," said Sedlak in a statement. "Contrary to the open-minded image the abortion organization aims to present for itself, Planned Parenthood has zero tolerance for anyone – or any religious group – that recognizes abortion as an evil act that kills a pre-born baby."

The controversial theme is derived from a passage in the Gospel of Luke, where an angel announces to shepherds the birth of their savior in Bethlehem.

The King James version of the Bible states: "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

"By replacing 'peace' with 'choice,' or more accurately, 'killing the innocent on earth,' Planned Parenthood is essentially saying 'abortion on earth,'" Sedlak said. "This blatant mockery of Christian values – and of Christ Himself – truly demonstrates the bigoted, anti-religion, anti-God nature of Planned Parenthood."

I've thought of this same concept with the wristbands that some charities now use. The foundations/movements are etched into the plastic but from a distance they all look alike. So far, I've seen yellow (Lance Armstrong cancer foundation) and red (another illness).

Why not wear yellow wristbands in support of our troops and red wristbands to protest abortion?

Imagine the libs getting their panties in a bunch when people "misunderstand" that wristband they are wearing.

They will print your message inside of the cards (look at the website).

Try this one on for size and send it to your liberal friends/relatives/the press:

"YOU could have been aborted and YOU wouldn't have had any CHOICE about it."

You could submit the greeting to PP (yes you would have to fund them a little but you would have the joy of sharing your message with at least one person there) OR you could create your own cards at any print shop or even on your computer.

Planned Parenthood offers child size t-shirts.

Can't get the "I had an abortion" shirt sized for a 10 year old though. PP really doesn't like to let the public or authorities know about the abortions they offer to cover up sex crimes.

re: Kind of ironic for a Jew to run an organization founded by a Nazi sympathizer to implement Nazi population control policies.)))

Not only that, but to employ a verse from the New Testament Christmas Story of the birth of the Messiah--to mock both Christians and birth at the same time. Just imagine--if the tables were turned...and this is her third year doing it!

That is King Herod, depicted in a window of the (Catholic) Cathedral of St. Peter in Lancaster, England.

The building dates from 1857-1859, designed by E.G. Paley. The window was locally made - and shows King Herod in the act of drawing his sword, with one of the Holy Innocents dead beneath his feet. If you look closely, you can see a fox and snakes in the background as well.

As the website I got the pic from notes, it's an unusual subject for a stained glass window. It's in the passage leading to the baptistry - if you take the virtual tour and home in on the east side of the hall leading to the baptistry, you can just catch a glimpse of it.

I would return it, by registered mail, with the nastiest, goriest, and most awful dead victim of abortion picture I could find.

That too.
