Reminds me of a popular cigarette brand, OPCs.

EXCELLENT ARTICLE!!!

Oh, yeah. A BULLSEYE, alright!

Rather than applauding Hillary Clinton's telling them last summer that their taxes must be raised because "we're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good," they prefer Newt Gingrich's observation that the Declaration of Independence's Pursuit of Happiness includes an active verb: "Not happiness stamps; not a department of happiness; not therapy for happiness. Pursuit."

If the Democratic Party allows itself to be defined by Ted Kennedy, Michael Moore and the editorial page of the New York Times, while Republicans, their president and their strengthened congressional majorities encourage the pursuit of happiness in an opportunity and ownership society, then Mr. and Mrs. America will make sure conservatives are in power for a great many years to come.

We had a college bond here that passed by a few 1000 votes. Several million dollars. We were told that it wasn't "that much" but all these special interest "not much" taxes adding up. A lot of property owners were not supporting so the seniors were told that they would be made exempt if they would vote yes. I guess it worked. Many weren't for the bond until they found out someone else would be paying for it.

Thanks SB for the ping. Obviously we all need to keep up whatever efforts each of us makes in order to increase the Republican margin in both houses of Congress during the 2006 elections. I can think of one NY senator who needs an early retirement. Also, we need to set the tone for the 2008 presidential nominations. I should think that there will be a large number of candidates initially, from both major parties, and it should be interesting to watch. :')
