Push fluids. And I do mean PUSH. Try to drink a quart an hour. You'll be in the bathroom a lot, but it really does help your body fight it better, thins mucous, keeps you hydrated etc.
Prairie
Looks like they had a lovely weekend. :o)
THANKS, Gretchen!
Thanks for the ping
Thanks. Well, I have the tree up but no decorations yet. That will probably get done tomorrow. Jan bought this tree on sale in 02 and it has some lights on it. I want to add more.
Thanks everyone else who have written. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. Thanks homemom for the poem. I printed it to take to choir practice this week.
Love,
mamab
He has no accent that I could hear at all...........how did he do that?
btw, I agree, he seems like an excellent choice.
Homemom is right mystery. Be sure to take 2000 mg. Vit C with Rose Hips very four hours and you can fight the cold off in a couple of days. Penicillin takes at least a week.
what happened to your laptop? die? lost?
lots of fluids like Prairie suggested is good.. I drink 2 qts of water each morning before I have ONE bite of anything to eat..
2000mg every four hours?..
I agree fluids are the best thing I drank a lot of tea over the weekend and this helped greatly.
Yes mam. 2000 every four hours just like anti-biotics. (I skip nights though LOL). Linus Pauling, the Nobel Prize winning scientist used to take 10,000 mgs every day. Did that for years and never had a cold. I take 2000 the instant I suspect a cold and that stops one before it gets a foothold. I've not had a cold since I can't remember when. Years I think. As homemom said, Vit C is water soluable and your body will use what it can and flush the rest. Drink plenty of liquids. You will be amazed at how fast it works. If you already have a cold and take the Vit. you will feel pretty bum at first when it starts working. Just take it easy and by day two you will feel fine.
My wife started our family on Vitamin C in the fifties and the kids never got colds and neither did I. She read a book by Adelle Davis recommending vitamin C and other vitamins and healthy diet. I think that is why the kids grew up so healthy and I am healthy in old age.
Me too!!!!!
I was SO thrilled! I never gotten one before!
(then again, I never gave money to the RNC before so that mighta had just a little to do with it LOL)
I've got 3 signed photo-prints on the wall, and I'm gonna frame my card after Xmas!
Laura looks great!
I need to get with my rowing machine again.
I really like that tangerine top & cardigan.
I was cast in a musical production that our church was sponsoring some years back and proceeded to come down with a cold 48 hours before opening night. I stayed home from work and forced myself to drink, drink, drink....and I'm not talking alcohol either, that doesn't help. Herb tea, juice, water, anything like that.
It helped immensely and not only did I feel better quickers, I was able to get through all the performances just fine.

Zinc is good, they even make zinc gel nose drops.
Or there's the lozenges (also they don't taste very good).
I made 2 very small donations so I'd say that's all it takes.
Thanks for the link!
Great pics!
Hello, Prairie!
Great to see White House return address, isn't it?
Yup. My three WH Christmas cards are already on display amidst the Christmas decorations.
