Ok so i went to there website to see how they are reacting to the new TRO on the Ohio Recount. This is what i see..

This is now really starting to get annoying. Its not the idea of the recount. Its about spite.. Its about making Tax payers pay for something they cant win. For that simple fact alone it should be illegal.

I REALLY think bush or the Nation RNC or the RNC of those states to go in there and crush these guys. MAKE THEM SPEND THERE MONEY!!

The recounts will be ultimately denied in Ohio because the cost to the counties is not justified by the possibility that the the greens will get anywhere within a lightyear of changing the outcome so that they win. In other words, they have not been harmed, much less irreparably harmed.

It'll be the same in these other states.

Were they close to winning anywhere in the known universe?

It's about the liberals trying to sew discontent and create an uprising.

Someone should check to see where they are getting the funding for these lawsuits. That $12 million Kerry had left over ?

No, the Ohio recount is not being funded by small contributions. A very small part of it is ($ 100,000+ I think I read); the vast majority of the cost will be paid by the Ohio taxpayers. What are these people doing? Why do they have any right to dump this on the people of Ohio?

Wouldn't it be refreshing to see the pubbies dig in like this on OUR issues. Watch how villified this group in power will be made by these scum & NO retailiation from the opposition, consequently they continue on with their aagenda. It is not up to Ann Coulter, etal to carry the water for the conservatives while the majority in Congress does nothing more than raise their salaries & secure their jobs.

While I can understand that the Libertarians think the GOP is a sell-out to big government, why are they suddenly in bed all over the country with the most socialist big government party?

Can any Libertarians explain?

Why has no one demanded a recount in PA?

I think it is very telling that the 'libertarian' candidate, who supposedly represents a party that is morally opposed to government wasting the money of those who produced it in the first place, is going out of his way to try to overturn the election-- the cost to taxpayers be damned.

I wish I had kept a post from another Freeper about this subject, but I didn't.

It was classic.

Anyway, the essence of the post was that the longer they count and recount, cry about a stolen election, and refuse to face the fact they lost, the less prepared they'll be when the next election rolls around.

And it's so true. The Democratic party is in disarray. They have no leader. They need a replacement for McAuliffe, but there are factions in the party and who knows who they'll end up with.

Think of it, Jesse Jackson, Badnarik and Cobb are essentially now the voices for the Democrats. It's just too weird!

Yes, and so besides confirming my suspicions that libertarianism sounds so good on paper, but has problems being truly put into practice, it's interesting how when there are about seven days left to play around with the vote recounts, this sudden flurry of suits...like let's set the whiners up with more mythology of how the election was stolen, while doing it in such a way that nothing solid can be done.

There is a strong strain of madness running in this country now...

Don't these Greens have anything better to do... like hugging trees or something?
Don't they realize how many trees they'll kill by filing lawsuits & paperwork demanding recounts? LOL

They can file all the lawsuits that they want. The deadline for each state to finalize their appointments of electors is December 7. After that date, they can prove to their hearts content that every Ohio vote for Bush was cast by a Martian: it won't affect the result.

So where are independent conservative groups petitioning for recounts and prosecution of the fraud in WI, PA, and MI?

Don't everybody jump at once, but 'sompin stinks reel bad heer".

I'm one of the 'ignore-yore-rant' red in a blue state voters who dosen't 'unnastan politikin' too good, so somebody got some 'splainin' to do.

I'm gonna advance my own conspiracy theory, simply because it makes no sense for the G or L party to seek a recount...no chance of winning.

Who benefits?

Certainly not the small party, who certainly are less able to bear the incidental costs associated with the recounts.

Series, the dimrats are behind it. This way the recount demands don't look like a bunch of losers repeating 2000 tactics.

This could be hugh!

/laughter
