The Danes are further north and east of the people of the Netherlands.

he is personally concerned that rioting will break out if the government does not act swiftly. It'll be interesting to see how things develop in the Netherlands. If there is rioting, your shortwave contact shouldn't have much to worry about. The Muslims, on the other hand...

Oh yes.
We have a contact schedule established now. 3X per week, or more often if something critical breaks.

Well... So much for the Amateur Radio gentlemen's agreement, or unwritten rule to not discuss religion or politics on the air. This is undoubtedly a result of relaxing the traditional morse code licensing requirements.
Ah "Change for the sake of change" and "Peace at any Price," or "Anything goes" these days!!! Rules are for fools, etc... (grin)

This is an extremely important post, not just for its fascinating content.
This post represnts the first direct Internet reporting (that I have seen) using ham radio transmissions. The corrupt MSM, the legacy media, just had another nail driven into into its coffin.
I wonder if there are other ham radio freepers who might be willing to post direct on-the-scene foreign reports?

That doesn't surprise me, much.
Liberal/Socialistt countries often try to assuage their guilt over their bounty by giving it to the "less fortunate" in their societies. That is often new immigrants.

There is a blogger from the Netherlands who has done a great job of covering this. Lots of articles and updates.

I fish we had a Van Gog, so some wacky Muslim would killed him and we could retaliate. We had 3,000 Van Gogh's killed on 9/11. Didn't make any apparent difference. We're constantly told that the Islamists who want to kill us are members of a "religion of peace"...or that we deserved the attacks because we support Israel.

You're right. As long as one freedom-minded individual has a way to get the story out, the story WILL get out.

I wish my local Echolink repeater would tune more out of state stations in.

I remember seeing that rule in my 1975 ARRL Radio Handbook. I'm afraid that unwritten rule isn't followed. I remember during the Clinton Era, we had the "Liberty Net" on 3950 kc, Lower Sideband (LSB) and during late nights on the local 2 meter repeaters, we did discuss current events and politics as well as "South Park." B-)

BTW, keep all of us informed on what the amateur contact in Holland is saying.

They could stick their...er... equipment in the dike; if it would do the job.
After all, they already stuck that same equipment in a hornets nest in the first place.

Don't want to advocate rioting, mass demonstrations are another matter.
Any way we can get the word about FR out to sympathetic minds in Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway??...Most of the population speaks English there...I wonder if they feel all alone out there. It'd be different if they logged in here.
