Yes it is. It just thrills me to see it's still in our makeup. I was afraid for awhile that we'd lost it. I should have known better!

Recently I was saying that I plan to start looking around for a job...MoJo said I should move near her...I think I just figured out why she would want me to!!!! LOL

To bring this closer to home:
Last Wednesday (before Thanksgiving), we did an interview with the local radio station. After the interview, we received a call from a Navy Chaplain wondering if we could help a few of the local Sailors who needed help with Thanksgiving meals. By the time we were done, 45 families were fed and able to have a Thanksgiving meal. It is just a reminder that we aren't just supporting the Troops, but perhaps many of their families that need it.

LOL!! I just can't wait to see the pics...I told my son's day care that I would try to get a pic of the troops with their poster!!
Bobby thought it was cool, but I was worried we weren't going to help all of them. We all made it through. One of the ladies sent her thanks to ProudPatriots.com.
Some of you are probably sick of this story...but my brother, a VN vet, told me that those TREES will mean SO VERY MUCH to those troops.
He got quiet when I told him....He said they would've given ANYTHING for a Christmas tree in Nam.
That's cuz Bobby IS cool! I keep telling you to send those boys west!!!

That will make it so personal for them!!! We talk about it as adults, but when (if?) they get to see "their" soldier...

I think it's very sad that I was worrying about getting food for my family because I was slacking a bit about shopping. (There was something about seeing more stuff coming into my house. LOL!) Anyways, I talked to more than a few women who were in tears because of it.
We aren't a huge organization, but it makes me wonder how many others wouldn't speak up to ask for help. That makes me really sad.

I never felt better, or happier, than when I was shopping for the Troops' Christmas stuff!!
It is it's own reward, and I am still smiling!!
(They're gonna get fat. I sent ALOT of candy!)
