If anyone has some major rehabilitation work to do in the new year, it is Teresa Heinz Kerry. As the Kerrys head for their swank vacation home this year without the press corps tallying how much it cost, or the Secret Service following too closely on the slopes, the might-have-been first lady and still extremely major philanthropist has some major thinking to do about the damage she did to her own reputation in the major run that just ended.

Estrich is eating her own?
Damn .... I didn't know Ostriches ate their own kind.
To those who watched her during the campaign, she certainly is. She frequently stumbled, mumbled, staggered, and made the kind of non-sequitor comments that only a loadie usually makes. It was obvious not only to many if not most freepers but also to professionals in the recovery field. The only question was, what's she high on? Certainly many in the non-freeping general public noticed it to.
My favorite picture of her, which unfortunately I cannot find now, shows her firmly grasping three bottles of beer to her chest as though she loved them while "campaigning" in Homestead, FL, hardly a major campaign stop.
Some of us believed that had Kerry been elected, "brave" Teresa would have checked herself into Betty Ford Clinic soon thereafter.
Either she's a truly dumb human being, or she's loaded on drugs and alcohol. considering the success she's had in marrying prominent men, I'd have to guess the latter. Dumb she is not.
Teresa's husband suffers from the same problem. I like Estrich. She often says things I don't hear from other liberal hacks, she is polite and usually waits her turn to express her propaganda, and if she does read the daily talking points she has enough sense to use her own words to promote them. As far as liberals go she's got a little bit of class.
ooooh, that hurts.
Today I predicted the exact change from a $3.75 purchase, the precise point where the commercial break ended while fast forwarding a VCR tape, and for tomorrow I predict heavy traffic on many of the nations highways.
Pretty impressive, I know, but I can't help but feel my deductive and precognitive abilities are not maturing in an optimum fashion. Do you teach a correspondence course...wait a second I'm getting a message...I think it's...?...please send cash?
And don't dump on Portuguese women either. I'm dating one. They are very smart and know how to behave with class while being feminine.
They're the only ones-with the possible exception of the extremely paranoid right-who believe that HRC has a legitimate shot at capturing the brass ring four years hence.
Believe me, if she emerges from '06 with less than a 55% majority of voters her goose is cooked. You can essentially write her political obituary at that point.
(In horribly contrived West Indian accent.)
Thaaat's right, Sir! CAUL MEE NOWW!!!
When did I do that?
I've read her for years. Before even the internet. She has two modes. One is her partisan democratic mode. The other is clear analysis, albiet infused with her liberal bias. But that's OK. I keep reading becasue I always learn something from the second mode.
"To find out more about Susan Estrich..."
I went and looked and it didn't say a word about her half-witted analysis or drunken stupor with acknowledged defeat awaiting her candidate.
The things omitted...

Teresssa: If you're so rich how come you aren't smart?
Susan Estrich is, imho, one of the most astute political operatives the Dems have. She knows how to play the game, she knows whose opinions matter and whose don't, and she isn't afraid to play hardball. Add her to the campaign staff of the right candidate, and we would be facing a formidable opposition team.
I also happen to think she's attractive, in an odd sort of way. She isn't a stamped out of plastic Barbie doll, like so many female political operatives. She has an interesting face, and her voice is unmistakable -- I know it grates on some, but to me it just sounds unique and makes me want to hear what she has to say.
She does appear to lose her cool sometimes, but I wonder if that isn't just calculated (like the article she wrote right around the time of the RNC). She seems to have a lot of common sense.
Having said all that, I don't ever expect to vote for any candidate she backs, but I do think she makes positive contributions to the political debate.
Flame away.
There is no doubt that she is repugnant. I only had hoped that she appeared that way to other viewers and especially those that were undecided. (how I hate that word)
I wonder what that wench is like when she is off the sauce, or whatever drugs it is she does. ;)
I suspect that is, in face, SE's opinion of THK but she is too conscious of her place to put the words on her own tongue.
No flames; just a comment: wasn't she the one who said Mary Cheney was "fair game" after Kerry dragged Ms. Cheney into the third debate?
Toke away . . .
She had major plastic surgery done on that face. Wow. What a striking difference. Where did her cheeks go?
