If anyone has some major rehabilitation work to do in the new year, it is Teresa Heinz Kerry. As the Kerrys head for their swank vacation home this year without the press corps tallying how much it cost, or the Secret Service following too closely on the slopes, the might-have-been first lady and still extremely major philanthropist has some major thinking to do about the damage she did to her own reputation in the major run that just ended.

How many lead guitarists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

I think that Teraisin was making a preemptive strike on the First Lady position, if Mr. Ed had won. Like Hillary, she wasn't going to be a traditional First Lady.

"How many lead guitarists does it take to screw in a light bulb?"Two.
One to screw it in, and the other to tell the first one how much better he could have done it.

Little Tommy said, "Mom, when I grow up, I want to be a drummer!" Mom replied, "Now, Tommy, you know you can't do both."

But it is a measure of the damage she did to her reputation in this campaign that the woman speaking was a Kerry supporter and a natural Teresa ally, who had been turned off by the sense that Teresa had not been a team player in this campaign; that she is an egocentric, arrogant, full-of-herself, spoiled rotten witch, with a checkbook, who thinks that just because she's rich she's smarter than anybody else.
If that's not the real Teresa Heinz Kerry, she needs to do some real work to step forward.
I guess she doesn't have any work to do in that case. That's the best analysis I've seen of Heinz-Kerry.
Estrich looks much better, but when you close your eyes, all you can hear is Hello Dolly!

" Estrich looks much better, but when you close your eyes, all you can hear is Hello Dolly!"She also sounds like one of the 'fun girls' from Andy Griffith. "Hiya dollll...."

Twerpy Tuh-RAY-za's natural snootiness and elitist attitude wasn't very far from the surface. Give her the right media coverage, and those attributes surfaced without obstacles. This just added to sKerry's natural liberal leftist Kennedy-like characteristics.

Susan had seemed to mellow over the years. Of course that was before the summer and fall of 2004. It got so bad a month or two before the election that I started calling here Susan Ostrich. When this woman bears down and lies her rear off, few can top her annoying qualities.

Teresa just help to show what an elitist snob John Kerry really was. While he tried to hide his snobbery by sounding presidential, wearing a flannel shirt and going on duck hunts, Teresa showed her snobbery pure and unconcealed. From her bafflement by the menu at Wendy's, to her cocktail party health advice about raisins soaked in gin (only white raisins don't you know and the gin just must be Tanquery...none of that low brow Bombay Sapphire) she just oozed elitism.

I don't want to attack anyone's appearance (etc.), but I do gotta tell you, "Estrich on Kerry" had me, for a moment, picturing something quite disturbing. Sophomoric? Sure. But still disturbing.
I'll leave it at that. Time to gouge out my mind's eye.

Susan is just following Stephanopolis" lead. Your best friend until you lose, then they tear you to shreds!
Both are whiny and can't carry a career on their own.
Hey...I've got a great idea! How about Stephanopolous and Susan hosting a Liberal talk radio show~! At least we wouldn't have to look at them.
To: dansangel
It didn't help Kerry that he wasn't around for most of the votes. Hillary! will probably see it as a weakness, too.

"My guess is Hilary has 60 IQ points on Theresa"
Yes, I agree with you.
