Ebaum,
"My sister-in law is from Oklahoma and has a slight accent. She has cats and when she lived in the south she would take them to the groomers and have what is called a Line Cut. To her a line cut is when all of the fur hanging down below the cat's tummy is taken off (because it gets matted or snarled). When she moved to Chicago with my brother, one of the cats fur got all tangled up during the move so she took it in for a line cut. She was quite surprised when she heard the price as it was twice as much as it was down south. She confirmed with the groomer that he understood what a line cut was and he said "yes, I know what a LION cut is." It seems her accent came out sounding like LION not LINE and this is how her cat was returned to her. She cried for a week...but not as much as the cat.
Grin, no I couldn't do that, they have to go to work.
They got along just fine with no eyebrows though.
I'm a good boy.
I guess they could pencil those in though.
I feel sorry for the cat, and I don't know why.
Other than that, the situation is very funny.
Sometimes it's tough being a pussy.
ROFL. I shouldn't laugh, but the look on that cat's face says it all.
..an mah baked pahtaetas , corn bred and chicken spahghetty
Well shut mah mouth, we mayh bee.
That is horrible when all eyes are you and you haven't a clue.
I can't believe I'm reading such stupid comments about the South. I know alot of yankees who moved down south. There must be a reason right? People from the south don't move up north unless it business. Without us you guys don't win elections, part of those backward red states you know.
OMG!
I am sorry for the kitty,
but this is hilarious!
I have the same problem with a Massachusetts friend. I was hearing "Arthur" when she was saying "author." Man, was I confused for a while. It is humorous to some of us. Not one is at fault: that's just the way it is.
Too bad that you can't find any of this humorous, but instead feel that we are insulting you. Lot's of people out shopping today seemed to have chips on their shoulders. I said "Excuse me" to each person and I tried to smile through a 90 minute wait in the line to pay. I felt great and it is too bad that the others didn't have any holiday cheer. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
Auburn University! War Eagle!!
As a southerner, I don't mind the made up story as an excuse to get these pictures out. The expression on the cat's face is pretty funny.
But thanks for the info... I always learn something here.
LOL I love the big "puppy dog" eyes faces he makes while holding his hat in front of him. Absolutely adorable!
LOL!
What in the world is Gula?
It is a sing song langauge used by the descendents of slave that lived on the barrier islands off the Carolina Coasts. It is really beautiful.
I think they look better with all their fur, but well-groomed, and with a soft and fluffy look.
