I think the phrase that sets us apart from others, other than our accent is, "fixin'to".

Why? Nothing could exemplify correct Queen's English better than the sentence "I'm fixin' to go down town."

Well, that and the correct use of "You all", or "Y'all".

Why is it when some people hear a heavy Southern accent they assume we are stupid and uneducated?

I never could figure that one out.Is it just racism? bias? culture eliteism? What?
