I think those poor saps were the landowners. I don't know how it is in Wisconsin, but here in Texas, if you find someone poaching on your land, you don't take it lightly. He was also chasing down and killing people he wounded. Doesn't sound like a lost hunter to me.

I can tell you for certain...that I know exactly where I can, and cannot hunt. And I know exactly what my tree stands look like...and where they are placed.
