The Russians - thanks to the Ukrainians - have the biggest planes in the world. The AN-225 is bigger than our C-5B Galaxy - and they also have the AN-226 (not sure of these number designations) - which has 6 engines - and is commensurately bigger. That's another consideration - the Ukrainians have an awesome aerospace capability - which would be nice for us to have on our side.
