I just returned from NCSU main campus a while ago - there were a number of fire trucks and emergency vehicles surrounding Daniels Hall. The streets were blocked off but the office could not reveal what was going on. NBC 17 had a van there but I see nothing on any of the local TV or news web sites. Anybody know what's going on over there?
Actually, you have the upper hand if you want to have a dog. It is much more difficult to introduce a cat than it is a dog. Believe me, the cats will not be threatened by a small puppy. A dog, on the other hand, may be outraged and take to dumping piles on your deck. (My experience)
...heard someone with a 'Duke' sticker on his car drove through the campus...and the administration starting throwing NCSU diplomas at him.
thought it was a suicide bomber
Yes, although I am not sure if the nuclear reactor is still there. It was ancient when I was there in the late sixties - so by today's standards I'm not sure if it would be of any use for class use.
I have found that retrievers and (some) terriers are the best people dogs. I don't know who the best cat dogs are but they'll all get along if you use a strong hand and strong tone.
The nuclear reactor is still there. If anything would happen to that thing...the fallout would be so tremendous as to ruin the rat population for days!
