Just don't have you picture in the school yearbook holding one of those rifles.
Where was that fight going on - I forget.

Why not use the Kimber on the predator, and save the money by not building a fence?

We do about the same thing here in 76834 land.
The VFD raffles off a shotgun nearly every year. Very popular event and raises a lot of money for a good cause.

Anybody know where I could send a contribution? I don't need another rifle but I'd like to recognize their courage.

I'd be willing to bet that there'd be more than a few FR dollars going to the high school if the entry/address was known to the FR community...

But their fundraiser has a unique twist -- the winner walks off with two rifles. What on earth is unique with this raffle? Objects of value are raffled off to raise money. Real America has been raffling off rifles and shotguns longer than the United States has existed.
Just another indication the Old Media is run by girlie-men.

chief of staff for Republican state Rep. Suzanna Hupp I believe she was in Luby's when that nut gunned down her parents and her weapon was in her vehicle, because the restaurant didn't allow patrons to carry their weapons into the establishment.

"Lampasas, located in central Texas Hill Country, wants to raise about $15,000 to build a fence around parts of Hanna Springs Intermediate School, where a known sexual predator has been seen near campus. "
If the name and address is known, it will disappear.

Sen. Hupp was a substitute for one of our local (Austin) talk radio shows yesterday. She said the school is located on a hill and kids will run into the street chasing balls. They've wanted a fence for a long time and never thought this would be an issue. They didn't count on nosy whoevers from parts unknown getting all rilled up. We drove through Lampasas about a month ago...we really liked the area, too bad it's so far from Austin.

Hi, Euphoric:
Great story!
Reminds me of a rifle raffle in W. Virginia that made more than $250,000.
Another in my home state of Maryland. Where a Beretta 92-F was raffled and made about $300,000. Liberal Montgomery County wanted to get in on the act, though with a much more PC prize.
A "Trigger Lock" was raffled. I believe the county made about $50 from that fiasco!
Jack.
