They used to show up at my grandma's on Saturday afternoon. We were told to turn off the lights and not answer the door.
My grandma would not only answer the door she would give them a large piece of her (very Catholic) mind. They would leave with their tails between their legs. I remember one speech in particular about their lack of patriotism and their failure to salute the flag. Oh that was a beauty. My grandma Thelma was a hoot!
