Cocaine haul hidden in giant squid

LIMA, Peru (Reuters) -- Peruvian police say they have seized nearly 1,540 pounds (700 kilograms) of cocaine hidden in frozen giant squid bound for Mexico and the United States.
The drugs were covered in pepper to divert sniffer dogs and sealed in several layers of plastic and other wrappers, Peruvian police said on Monday.

No wonder the scientists can't find the giant squids in the wild -- they are all drug mules! Maybe this explains more about Jaques Coustou and his 'happy band of divers' than we really wanted to know.

Instead of having a monkey on your back you had a cephalopod up you nose.......And who can honestly say that they haven't had a magnificant sea creature up their nose. I know I have! Most normal adolescents go through a phase of stuffing great sea beasts up their nose three or four times a day, but some are attracted to it by its very illegality.
