Does the .38-55 Winchester have the necessary knock-down power for hunting Big Foot, or is the .45-70 to be preferred?

I usually use a .50 bmg for bigfoots. kills 'em real good.

Neither. Best to file down the sight off the barrel so it wont hurt as much when Bigfoot shoves the gun up your #&$.

I'd go with the .50 cal muzzelloader from what I hear, or maybe a .380
