Lord, we give You thanks that President and Mrs. Bush have arrived safely home after their trip to South America. We ask that they might find their rest in You alone, and that they might be refreshed and renewed over this Thanksgiving weekend, and have a blessed time together with their family. We ask continued wisdom and discernment for President Bush, that he might be able to tell which path You would have him take for his life, and for the life of this nation. We pray that You would guide his steps every day, and keep him faithful in Bible study and prayer. Surround him with Your presence that he might grow in faith, in purity and in love as he serves You and America. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit that he might reflect Your love to those around him, and give him opportunities to share the Gospel of the love of Your Son, Jesus with those he meets.
Father, we continue to pray for Laura, that You would bless her and fill her with joy, and pray for their marriage that it might remain strong and centered in You. Bless Barbara and Jenna as well, and help them to mature in faith and wisdom as they learn to live for You each day.
Lord, we bring before You our troops serving in distant lands, knowing that there is pain in the separation from family during this Thanksgiving weekend, and as Christmas approaches. Give them comfort and peace that will lessen their loneliness during these days, and be especially with their families at home as well. Lord, we continue to pray for their protection and strength as they endure difficult and dangerous situations. Be of comfort to the families and loved ones of those brave troops who have fallen, and bring strength and healing to those who have been wounded. We ask for a swift and sure victory over the evil enemy they are fighting.
Lord, we also pray for America, and pray fervently that we would once again become a nation that honors You as it honors life and morality. We know that we are involved in spiritual warfare for the soul of America, and we know that we must be faithful in prayer for the hearts of its people, but we also know that the battle belongs to You, O Lord, and we ask that we might seek Your way in everything we do. Help us to be a sweet fragrance to those in need around us, and share Your love with friends and family who need to know You. We thank You for this wonderful country, its abundant blessings, and the freedom we enjoy to speak, to live, and to worship as we see fit. We ask that we might always be mindful that every good and perfect gift comes from You, dear Father, and we bring our prayers to You in the Name of Your precious Son, Jesus. Amen.
Please join us in prayer tonight for our President, our troops and our nation!
Prayers sent and BUMP!!
AMEN
Our Heavenly Father, I join my sisters and brothers in Christ as we gather tonight to pray for President Bush and his family. We pray, Dear Lord, that they are getting some much needed rest this week.
We continue to pray for the brave men and women who are fighting to keep our great country free and safe for us. We pray for their families who are missing them, especially during this holiday season. We pray that they will know how we as a nation love them.
We ask these blessings in Your Son's Precious Name, Amen.
Dear God,
I pray for my good childhood frien Kevin Nave (nah-veh), who died before our brave troops ever reached bahgdad. He left behind a loving wife, and a two children less than five years old. A true American, to put himself before so many others.
I know our President has God on his side. He will win against the faithless, the homeless, the Godless. He will win against those looking for a handout rather than a hand-up, and he will make America stronger with the help of a Christian Congress.
I hope my friend Kevin is smiling up there -- no, LAUGHING -- up there while he looks down on us, knowing that the best is yet to come, and his loss was not forgotten among us all.
Be especially near our beloved sons and daughters who serve their country in all parts of the world ... great is our love for them and great is our sadness in separation. Cause the days to move swiftly for those who await a loved one's return ... bring back the valiant warriors that we might make known our grateful hearts, for their service has brought liberty and freedom to millions. You are a God most merciful to grant us warriors such as these, whose purposes are noble and true.
We offer praise and thanksgiving to You, Eternal God, for the bounty that is these United States. You have poured out Your riches upon us ... we are without merit, yet You have entrusted us with so much. We seek Your guidance and wisdom, that others might be blessed in our stewardship. Show Yourself to the world as Creator and Sustainer, the Author of Righteousness, and may the world's citizens seek to know You as Lord and Savior. May it be thus, O God, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...
Praying in agreement with you tonight, ohio. Thank you.
Amen!!
The families of those in service of our Country deserve our Thanks and our Prayers!!
From the Privates right up to the Oval Office...they are being battled on many fronts,
Pray that He keeps them all under His watchful eye and keeps them from harm.
Lord, I praise You for all that You are doing in these turbulent times. The mountains are shaken, the mighty have fallen; the righteous rejoice in Your faithfulness.
For no matter the circumstance or the trial, You will see us through. Your desire is to give us victory in all things.
The political establishment is shaken. The media is shaken. Academia is shaken. Deeply embedded tyrants are shaken. The corrupt community of nations is shaken. Evildoers everywhere are suddenly fearful for what could come upon them.
Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The Lord resides in His heaven, and laughs at them.
Father, You called Your people to pray, and we have done so. It is our joy to see fruit for our labors, to Your glory. We ask for more love, more power, more understanding, more wisdom, more anointing. For much is left to do.
Forgive us as we forgive, even as we do not excuse, but rather expose, unrighteousness. Send Your Spirit to inhabit our praises, for Your joy is our strength. Move Your people forward as a mysterious, mighty army of Light, to do awesome exploits in Your name.
Enbue our leaders with new vision and authority, to bring us into line with Your perfect will for our time. Protect and guide all who seek to serve You by serving others, particularly our noble troops, from whom we take inspiration.
May God guide and protect our President and our troops.
Thank you for praying with us tonight!
Amen, Texagirl! Thank you!
I will add Kevin's family to my list. May God grant them peace..........and YOU too.
Thank you!
Thank You, Father, that our President and First Lady are safely home!
Beautiful prayer!
God bless you during this Thanksgiving season!
Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The Lord resides in His heaven, and laughs at them.
Oh, AMEN, Paul! Thank you!
