theres a guy standing there with a seven iron. his wifes battered body laying on the livingroom floor. the 1st detective on the scene says "geese buddy, how many times did you hit her"? he covers his eyes and with a chocked up voice says, "a heck, put me down for a six.
the guy is a killer, you don't win 6+3 to nothing when most are armed.

Why do you assume it had to *be*about* anything other than one jerk thought he had just as much right to be in the tree stand as the people telling him to get out, he got mad, and started shooting everybody because he couldnt care less about their lives?
Are you suggesting that something *could* _cause_ a person to kill 6 people in cold blood that *would* make sense?
No, this world is full of murdering thugs and jerks and mostly because a bunch of passive twits have convinced the public that there is no justification for self defence.
Had I been the one there confronting that animal, I would have had a friend covering me from the back side and that POS would not have had a second shot.
I wish you would take my comments literally. To me, nothing about this makes sense. Racism does not make sense to me either. Racism makes as much sense to me as anything else. I don't think that someone said "sir, this is private property and would you please leave" would have set him off. If someone said he hallucinated and thought the victims were invading space aliens, well that makes about as much sense to me as anything else.
My brother enjoys hunting hunters who are on his land without permission. He carries NRA applications and gives them a choice to joine NRA or go to jail.......so far all have elected to join NRA.

Heh, actually, some folks have gone off on other people for far less than that. I have seen people beaten savagely for nothing more than saying 'excuse me' to get past.
Why do you presume that anything the victims did had anything to do with what that lunatic did?
There is no necesary connection at all.

I have not seen that and it is outside my experiences.
I was telling my husband the same this evening; before I read your post. Over a year ago, there was an article in the local paper regarding this same group of people. They basically "took over" a good fishing area at a local lake. They show up by, literally, the dozens...and fish elbow to elbow, pushing out anyone who was there previously.
There were pictures accompanying the article; showed them (again) literally elbow to elbow with more than 100 fishing poles in a small shore area. Other pictures showed them hauling off dozens of buckets full of fish.
Obviously, the local folks were distressed and upset. Whether anything was done, I don't know. It seemed to me at the time that they were sent out to get food for the entire community. This type of thing occurred each week.
staytrue, have you done blue collar work in any industrial area? Or have been in the military?
The 'joaners' are quite proud of their willingness to use their 'pimp hand', and they are NOT joking around.

In his statement to police in the lousy pdf on post 115, Vang says he thought they were all dead when he left - except for the rescue guys who came and then drove off. He didn't shoot at them because they were armed. Vang was in full camo at this point. He left and threw away his remaining ammo into a swamp because he didn't want to kill anyone else. This is what he says.
It's an extremely interesting, if difficult, read.
