nj, We filed a civil case against the Teamsters, Ed Rendell, and Lynn Abraham and the District Attorney's office of Philadelphia in Federal Court. Judge Kaufman, the first judge to handle the case, threw out all counts relating to Abraham and the DA's office as well as counts not related to them. When Rendell admitted to a 30 yr. friendly relationship with Judge Kaufman during his deposition, we asked Judge Kaufman to recuse himself. The case was then assigned to Judge Yon, who threw out the rest of the Federal counts and remanded the case back to state court (the state case still included Ed Rendell). We appealed Judge Yon's and Judge Kaufman's decisions to the third circuit. Because Midge Rendell (yes the wife of Ed Rendell), sits on the third circuit, we very recently requested that the entire third circuit recuse themselves. If all of them do, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will appoint a three judge panel form judges who are not on the third circuit.
We believed that Larry Klayman was neither a strong or effective advocate for our case, and we asked him to leave the case just prior to the Summary Judgment decision. He is insisting that we owe him a $120,000 (though he can probably legally can only ask for $40,000) when the case is resolved.
Correction: the recusal motion to the third circuit will be filed this Friday.
