La Cuarta, a Santiago newspaper, described Mr. Bush's actions as a "total breach of protocol" and referred to him as "John Wayne ... definitely acting like a cowboy." An event pl;anned by the leftists media and their friends perhaps.....

to rescue a U.S. Secret Service agent There is a mess up here. It should have been the other 'way around. The PRESIDENT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN COMPROMISED and put in this situation in the first place. JMO. The advance team should have their testicles left to dry in the Sun like Amarone would be in the southern hemisphere.

"This is a pretty big deal," said a senior White House official, who called the incident a "melee." Good grief! Didn't the Chileans and the SS have, er, discussions for hours, maybe days, before this event? The only thing I would add to the discussion is after watching the tape of ~20 other notables entering the building, none of which had security details. IF "W's" SS had problems with the security arrangements, "W" shouldn' have gone. However, if the Chileans agreed to allow at least some security to accompany "W", and that agreement was breached, THAT would be a problem. Big problem. We may never know the answer to that.

The authorities said the Chilean agents were shocked when they determined that the man pushing over them was Mr. Bush, who, they said, grabbed Mr. Trotta, adjusted his shirt cuffs and then winked at bystanders with the agent at his side. La Cuarta, a Santiago newspaper, described Mr. Bush's actions as a "total breach of protocol" and referred to him as "John Wayne ... definitely acting like a cowboy."

Yes, and we need a post devoted only to those who post about too many duplicate posts. Someone needs to set up a special post.

The official expressed astonishment that Chilean security officials had stopped the No. 2 agent on Mr. Bush's security detail from accompanying the president into a meeting with another world leader, an unprecedented public breach of security arrangements agreed upon in advance.

On the part of the Chilean's, there was little cooperation, and the SS guys could talk until they were blue in the face and nothing ever gets done. That's how it is down there.

If you saw the news conference from Colombia today, you will be really glad some U.S. security got to be in charge - there were all kinds of boats out there on the water, right behind him.
