Hmmm

SOUNDS reasonable.

However, watching the way Specter got in with ALL our furor, I don't think I'd touch a committee.

I expect that the puppet masters have installed their stooges in virtually all the leadership positions of the key committees and from both political parties.

I think I'd try and do the 6 degrees thing and find someone who knew someone who was a reliable Believer etc. and truly dedicated to Constitutional, founding values etc.

I just don't trust much of anyone these days in such matters--unless I know them or know quality people who know them and are good judges or discerners etc. . . . who trigger a STRONG GOOD WITNESS in my spirit.

I don't think paranoia in such a context is unreasonable, AT ALL.

just imho.

This is one of the most pervasive lies the US Left and Clintons have ever told Americans. Much of the "international community" actually found Clinton entertaining (fitting their stereotypes of "Americans") but policy wise far too right-wing,
"not progressive enough".

They kept on America-bashing even when Clinton was in power. But the US MSM either ignored it or downplayed it. (To get a feel of Clinton era anti-Americanism read al-Guardian printed between 1996 and 1999 on microfilm available in library)

Yes. I am by nature skeptical but this totally failed the smell test. If I were to want to attack the President, by whatever means or under whatever circumstances, short of dropping a bomb from altitude, I would first want to neutralize his security.

A setting such as this, full of (expendable) officials and celebrities, a semi-celebratory occasion when everyone is putting on a face of goodwill and cooperation, lots of people milling around, and a relative lack of organization and structure, would be the ideal time, in my mind as an amateur assassin, to rush the place with a suicide bomber, a car bomb, and/or a couple of diehards with automatic weapons.

I am also mindful that not more than a couple weeks ago, we had Powell addressing publically the problem of terrorists in Latin America hooking up with Islamofascists.

I'm sure that the Secret Service anticipated all this BTW, they're smarter than I am; but it gives me the shivers nonetheless. I'm also quite sure that this event is far from "resolved," although it will slip down the memory hole as the media moves on.
