I'll donate $25 to buy him a new car. Not much, but maybe it'll help.

You're correct!
The police are giving him the alibi of an accident - trying to help hold back the expected retribution by the rest of the "gansta punks" that survived (so far).

THIS is why an armed public is a safe public.....Police Departments only do the PAPERWORK afterwards, is what I tell family and friends.
Here's an example of the paperwork the police would be filing if those punks were to have come to my property:
"Four armed robbery suspects found dead at scene. All shot dead with .45 ruger acp. Victim is an ex-military (infantry) man with training in pistol defense. The armed gunmen were able to get off a couple of shots, but aparently these were a result of last second muscle reactions to being shot in the head from close range. Bit messy, will call county coroner to assist in cleanup. No charges filed (none alive to file against)."
Isn't conceal and carry great?

If someone threatened my daughters like that they would be taking the dirt-nap too. That guy did what any good father would do. Good riddance to the bad guys! Men have to protect their families. Anyone who threatens my daughter with violence is a dead man. I wouldn't think twice about it.

Find out where to send it, and I'll match that.

They're lucky it isn't Texas or the charge would be capital murder.
To: REDWOOD99
I'll donate if the guy needs some wheels. He did what any family man would do.

Dad Chases Robbers Police said the gunmen pulled out pistols and took $1,500 and credit cards from O'Neal. I hope this turns out all right for the guy.
However... Does it seem a little strange to anyone that he has $1500 in cash, yet he is worried about not having a car.

This is Trenton, folks. He isn't sorry, it wasn't an accident, and as long as he can convince the public that he's sorry and it was an accident, the prosecutor couldn't care less.
It would all have been a little more problematic if he'd accidentally shot the man, but the rule would ultimately still apply.

Probably true. I wouldn't want less than $130K in the budget to defend against the charges that will be brought.
This man will probably be ruined by the system. I hope he gets to keep custody of his kids. And stays out of jail. Faint hope, but hope and prayers nevertheless.
How many freepers in here? how about sending a check for a minimum of $2 each to this guy. He'll get his defense and a new car. A win-win for all of us I'd say.

Maybe there is more to this story.
Guy has $1500 on him outside his house ?????
Then he is worrying about losing his transportation???
Most people with $1500 on them do not worry about transportation!

Good for this guy. I hope the RAT scum politicos in this state don't try to nail this guy to the wall.
A note to RAT prosecutors:

News Flash!!
Free Republic, the website for conservative values and morals and the watchdog of the nations liberal news media has come through again. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been collected for the defense of a man wrongfully sued for defending his family.
This would be great.
