Once again a real tragedy is deflected to discuss abortion. Do you guys turn every tragedy involving a child into an abortion rant? IMHO, it's very misplaced and diminishes the evil that's taken place here.
The evil that took place here is repeated 3,500 times per day in the U.S. Would that people be as shocked and outraged by each and every one of those acts of evil as this one. Until then, innocent children will continue to be dismembered by a killer paid by their Mothers. It is sad that you've become so desensitized.
I respect that you are concerned about political opportunism. I must disagree, though, about "diminished" evil.
There is no special interest "payoff" for achieving a culture that respects life.
Is the dismemberment of an 11 month-old less despicable than the dismemberment of a pre-born?
Society and the media are transfixed on Scott Peterson's killing of his wife and unborn child, yet are the thousands of other murdered or beaten wives LESS important?
Let us not diminish this situation, yes, but let us not hide our heads from the others either.
Respectfully, many of us feel that stories like these: murdered babies and children at their parents' hands... are the end result of the culture of death diminishing the quality, sanctity and wonder of Life.
