UN is rapidly posining whatever good will it still has in the US..The Congressional comittees are really pissed. If Kofi doesn't provide the documents,a nd peopel to testify, look for the HOuse, very soon, to introduce a bill cancelling the US dues tot he UN..whiuch is 25% of the budget..SAlso, the UN needs a "loan" from the US of $2 billion to build the new HQ in NYC. Forget that..even the people of NYC don't want to have the parks taken fro a new building, and several NY state legislators are raising hell oabout it. The bill was just pulled in Albany..and when the dirt all comes out..well..

I don't know what got my attention first, your headline or your handle. I'm with you, kick'em out. Let one of their dictators take them in since the U.S. is so evil! But I don't think there is a good political way of doing it.This move would make America Haters hate even more. It's been nice typing with a groovychick. Type me some time.

I absolutely hate the UN. That having been said, a part of me feels that we need to keep a watchful eye on them, and where better than in our own backyard. As has been said many a time: "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". And we pay for most of their foolishness, so why shouldn't they be here? Lastly, we have veto power in the security council, so not much of importance can get done against our will.

Sometimes humor is the surest way to draw attention- I previously used this:

...and got nary a comment. Switched to the 'toon, and got lots of replies.

These scandals are finally getting mentioned in the MSM- we've known about them for years in some cases. The media's all-too-predictable bias is simple-- to them the UN was a good idea which they approved of, so it could do no wrong. But now, they are competing with each other for new stories- so the stories will trump their biases. I hope.
