Excelent post, Calpurnia. Wonder why the Mid-east doesn't understand that most westerners agree about the sinful temptations in our society, but are better for having been SUFICIENTLY TEMPTED to stray from the proper moral choices?
When my four children were small, I toyed with the idea of putting a lock on the pantry door to keep them from the cookies. Thought better since it envolved no proper choice on their part. Even God allows sin.
