KKK is dead in Texas, with the exception of East Texas. The KKK is most common east of the Mississippi River. I hear they are very active in the Northeast corridor, which is liberal. Glenn Beck talked of his first encounter with the KKK in Connecticutt.

I wouldn't call Lake Grove a 'liberal' area. Suffolk County is full of republican neighborhoods. I was expecting this in a town like Central Islip or Brentwood. But not a place like Lake Grove. Still a disgusting thing to do no matter if it's a liberal or conservative area.
