EXELAND, Wis. - Five people are dead and three injured in a shooting incident that apparently began over a hunting dispute in western Wisconsin.
The confrontation began around noon in a rural area southwestern Sawyer County. Authorities said a hunting party returning to their deer shack reported seeing a hunter unknown to them occupying their tree stand. That led to a shooting.
One of the shooting victims used a walkie talkie to radio back to the deer shack for help. When the victim's hunting partners came to the scene, they were also shot.
Sawyer County was in a virtual lockdown as authorities searched for the gunman. One suspect was eventually taken into custody around 5:15 p.m.
The suspect's name has not been released.
Officials at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake said they have treated at least three gunshot victims. They said one of the victims was transported to a hospital in Marshfield, WI. Another victim is in critical condition and is undergoing surgery. The third victim is in fair condition in the intensive care unit.
I hope not. It's just that the basketball players are attacking and now the hunters..?
I don't think it was a race thing in either case, esp. this deer hunter case. People killing anyone is a bad thing.
Oh I totally agree. I just left a forum that said whites are being attacked in america. I hope not. Cause I want us all to just get along
White people get attacked, black people get attacked... we live in a world with fallen sinful human beings. I guess the MSM is desperated for ratings and wants to manufacture 'something' whatever that may be.
That's good enough for me
Now you're going after those who disagree with you with your self-righteous Bible-thumping Holier-Than-Thou attitude. Just who do you think you are that they're supposed to answer to you and meet YOUR expectations?!
Enough is enough. I ask the Moderator to step in.
Good grief.
While I agree it's over the top and certainly shows a lack of compassion and understanding, I believe the best way to handle this is to ignore her.
If you feel she has personally attacked you, I would hope you go to the offending post and hit the Abuse button.
If you knew anything about me, you'd know how strongly pro-life I am.....please read my posting of the Pray for President Bush thread (I post it on Tuesdays and Fridays), and read my public prayers that reflect my private pleading to return this nation to a culture of life, and thanking God that he is moving us in that direction. Ending abortion is the most important political issue before us, and the most important spiritual issue this nation faces.
We have supported our local Crisis Pregnancy center financially, and I have volunteered as a church liason for them.
We have stood on street corners and marched in pro-life parades (sometimes with our children) and support NRL and ORL financially.
In addition, I volunteered hundreds of hours and wrote numerous letters to the editor (many with the subject of the value of the life of the unborn) on behalf of President Bush, and one of the primary reasons for that was his morality and pro-life stance. (Another was his strong support of the military, because our son spent a year in Baghdad in defense of your freedom to attack his mother).
I can bring in several hundred character witnesses on FR if you would like to verify that I am indeed strongly pro-life. It would behoove you to stop your silly accusations that I am not.
That being said, your comments that one should not be surprised that people in a state that voted for Kerry kill people, and that the wicked die in such states, is beyond absurd. It is sinful.
Now please, consider the possibility that people like you do more harm to the pro-life movement than good by absurd rantings and accusations on a public forum.
Good day.
(Oh, and if you post to me again, use the paragraph HTML tag so that it is legible).
(Matthew 5:22) - "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell."
More to the point this thread is about a poacher murdering 5 members of a family on their own property, not abortion. It is about 3 members a a family fighting for their lives in 2 hospitals because of a murderer, not your soapbox to preach about abortion on.
Your posts are not a good example of Christian Love for others. Not once have you prayed for those killed or wounded. Not once have you expressed compassion for the family members who witnessed this horror, or prayed that God protect them from nightmares when they sleep due to this. Instead you pronounced them all guilty and deserving of the grevious harm they suffered with no evidence or proof.
So far you have shown no difference between your attitude and that of the Pharisees that Yeshua rebuked. SHAME ON YOU!
Please keep your posts on this thread germane to the topic and not hijack it for your own purposes.
I will not respond to you again on this thread. You are not my concern. My concern is for the dead and wounded, and their families. Anything you feel you need to say to me would be better served being said to the God you claim to worship.
I Pray He forgives you.
I'm new here and would like to stay here. I don't want to hit abuse either. So I am taking your advice and ignoring her.
bump
Patience isn't a strong virtue of mine, especially with people like her. But I'll try to step away and leave her to you all.
You have FReepmail. I don't know how new you are,, so I'll point out you can access it by hitting the word "mail" at the bottom of the page.
FReepmail headed your way.
My 84 year old mother voted for Kerry and she is a Christian and in no way evil. I think she is wrong in her politics but in no way condemned for it.
As for proof of my faith, fortunately for me I don't have to provide proof to you or any other living person of that faith. My salvation has been paid for.
You can continue to think that I and other posters are hell bound pagans and I for one will pray for you.
Deal?
