I have a book by Spencer Wells--The Journey of Man: A Genetic Odyssey (Princeton University Press, 2002). In the book he mentions Thomas Jefferson once, to quote from his Notes on the State of Virginia about the resemblance between American Indians and the inhabitants of East Asia.

The article makes it sound like it has been definitely proven that Jefferson had children by Sally Hemings. All the DNA evidence has shown so far is that some of her descendants carry the Jefferson Y chromosome, but that doesn't tell us if it was Jefferson himself, his brother, or one of his Jefferson cousins who got Sally pregnant.

Exactly right. And I'm sick of the major media, liberals and others, getting it wrong.
