I'm unable to watch it, but talked to a friend on the phone just now who said the same thing. She's very concerned that "something's up" in Chile, and said our President looks dog tired.

Taking a break from being beaten on by fellow pubs and basking in the glow of the hard time Bush had on Nov 2 because of me and people like me. LOL.

nah.... they just want to grill Bush. Now we're onto unilateralism and "world opinion" - sounds like John Kerry's "global test"

LOL!

He said he was a strong, capable Democrat. Guess he could have used a better choice of words.

People don't associate being called a Democrat with praise these days.

I know fair trade instead of free trade, but let's face it they are still coming across the border too, we can only do so much.

Yeah, he did, but I think he meant in favor of democracy.

Ooh, and President Bush did a great job answering the question about Iraq. "Not only can democracy succeed in Iraq, democracy WILL succeed." (paraphrased) Then the best was, "We are doing the right thing in Iraq. And history will prove it." W Rocks!

Get a copy of "Compromised" by Terrence Reed, by SPI Publications. It is so good, Slick Willie sent his boy Stobe Talbot out to smear the author.

The Pres of Chile says the right kind of things -- we'll see what actions will follow.

Do not know much about the leanings of the Chilian govt. but I know that a number of years ago they went to a privatized Social Security sytem that made their economy take off.

I know fair trade instead of free trade, but let's face it they are still coming across the border too, we can only do so much.

We can do what we were elected to do. We can do what we're supposed to do as citizens. That doesn't include making excuses. We're in this position because nobody has acted for ages and now they all act offended that someone is demanding they do their jobs now that a nice hole has been dug for us to get out of. I don't imagine anyone complains the walls are too high in the hole when it starts filling with water. They start climbing the hell out and worry about the depth when they write about the struggle after the fact. We've been talked into standing at the bottom while they prepare to pour.. When my job was taken, they expected us to train the Mexican nationals that replaced us in Mexico serving our American clients. China doesn't need to invade us and Mexico won't need to take up arms to claim the southern states, Our politicians and businessmen are doing it for them with a pen. You're gonna get wet, that isn't the question. The question is whether you stand and drown in your excuses or do something.

Do what? We are divided and conquered. My vote doesn't do squat.
