What's the deal with the RightTalk.com ad on FR?

Posted on 11/21/2004 2:29:12 PM PST by 69ConvertibleFirebird

I click on the ad at the right top of FR and get sent to: http://www.rightalk.com/

The page there simply says:

"Rightalk is temporarily unavailble.

Check back soon."

It wasn't with us so now it's against us.

We were attacked, and we have to find a back up.

Denial of Service attacks? Or just a straight-up website hacking?

So it voted for us before voting against us?

It wasn't hacked, before it was hacked.

If Kerry was President, it still would have been hacked, but it would have been hacked a lot better. The hackers would have had a 'better plan'.

It was the wrong hack, at the wrong time, and the wrong website.

Websites weren't hacked like this when Kerry was in Vietnam, and Dan Rather has some MS Word documents and saved e-mails from 1971 that will prove it.

Ok, I'll stop now. :o)

It was hacked, in a fashion reminiscent of Jenghis Khan.

The hackers are 'miserable failures'.

"...reminiscent of Jenghis Khan."

Ya know, I was reminiscing with old Jenghis just the other day, and he was clearly hacked off at that time. I wonder why some people have been in such a bad mood, as of late.

Nope.

I'd liken it more to the ferocious assaults of Attila The Hahn.

We were hacked by an antiwar group. Back up and running smoothly now.

I tried to register in order to listen and it kept dumping me out a few weeks ago.
I don't know why...can you help?

You don't have to register to listen, registration allows us to notify you of programs and offers sepcial features of the site. If you have problems with drop outs or continual buffering, try increasing your player buffer. Instructions are on the site under "Tech".

Thanks for the info, Bob. The dumping was on my attempts to register. I kept going around in circles...I do want to register so I'll try again.
I did think I HAD to register in order to listen.
So you are on the air again? Good.
I get tired of krla and c-span.
