Get him out of there. Seriously.I agree, he needs to come home. I get uneasy when he's off American soil.

Time for W and Laura to come home - videophone works well and if these clowns in Chile do not want proper security, then let'em stew in their own juices - our president is more important than those APAC members, some of whom no doubt contain radical islamofascists who are more interested in violence against Americans than promoting peacful economic trade.

saw that, but it still concerns me that there is no metal detection despite scaling back the numbers. Is this an uncommon practice, no metal detectors? Because it does leave open the possiblity for a disaster, scale back or not since it only takes one bad guy to create a disaster. The hell with chile, imo if no metal detector then no President.

See, that's the thing ... I don't get uneasy.
Maybe I'm just a little jumpy this week with the JFK anniversary coming up (presidential assassination is obviously on my mind), but the lax (intentionally lax?) security in Chile is making me mucho nervous.

I agree, something is fishy. I hope that other world leaders are feeling security sensitive right now too. Is there a USN carrier task force in the vicinity?

I just heard this on the radio too. First they try to keep out his SS agent, and now this. There is indeed something going on down there. God Bless George W. Bush. Prayers are stepped up for him at this time for sure!

I know you're interested in this story too--what do you make of this? Maybe it's just minor game-playing, but I'll sure feel better when the President is back home on our own turf.

Anytime the president has to go in and "rescue" his Secret Service agent, it's time to go.

In this day and age, someone like GWB shouldn't be taking too many chances. Half this country didn't even vote for him and got energized to the polls on hatred against the president. That hatred is worldwide. I don't blame President Bush intervening through the crowd to get the USSS up closer to him yesterday.

Something troubling is going on there in the background.
Maybe an attempt on POTUS by evil doers in Latin America in concert with Terrorists.

Hi Samwise, hate to say this but I bet W won't leave. It wouldn't be the "Cowboy" thing to do. Someone will have to practically force him to leave if it happens. Prayers are going up from this house for sure.
