agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world

I'm sorry, but I'm still not clear on how a guest worker program is going to encourage illegals to cooperate.

I never said the one with the yellow lanyard was the lead agent. My posts all the way through indicate which one IS the LEAD agent. I have posted several pictures of him.

I have been very aware of this guy for quite awhile, as have the rest of the Dosers. He gives us much comfort because of his diligence. He is always very close to the President. Often with his hand on the President's waist, during campaign stops.

We probably see him in the pictures on the Dose several times a week.

What I was suggesting all along is that the yellow lanyard guy probably is Secret Service, but yellow may be a different level of security than the USSS in blue lanyards.

Maybe perimeter?

Or as you say, the clean shaven guy in the first picture is Chilean.

Blue might be for different levels of protection, regardless of nation?

Anyway, just to clarify, this guy below is the President's lead agent. He is the one the President pulled out.

He is the same guy in the second picture that you posted.

The only reason I want people to know exactly which agent is the President's lead agent, identified as Nick Trotta, is that I believe that this agent truly loves and cares for our President.

I think the President feels the same about him.

To me, that is a very significant part of this entire thing. The relationship between the two men seems very strong, so you just know it was very hard for the agent to be kept from the President's side like that.

(this is from a different event of course.)

Here he is in Baghdad with the President last Thanksgiving. They put him in a soldier's uniform in order to blend in.

Hey, isn't that Erik Estrada on the right? Since when did he retire from the CHiPs and move to Chile?

No, you never did say that...I wasn't suggesting you did. If I didn't make that clear, I'm sorry.

I was trying to say that as I'd been working my way through who was who, I initially came to (and posted) some conclusions that I now believe were wrong. I managed to make what I now believe were erroneous assumptions all by myself. You did not contribute to that.

I'd be utterly astounded if there any plot against Bush. This has all the earmarks of either (a) piss-poor staff work by the Chileans (in my experience, all Presidential visits are meticulously choreographed on the US side; this applies to all Presidents, whether they're Clinton or Bush); or (b) some weird outside factor surfacing at the last minute that upset everyone's carefully made plans.

At any rate, we need more info on this.

Well, things obviously got heated. The bottom line for our SS guys, I'm sure, is that they realized they were being prevented from accompanying Bush inside; therefore, the President had no SS security with him. Which, to an SS guy, is like asking him to commit suicide. NO Secret Service person assigned to protect the President is just going to give up and let the Prez walk away unguarded. The SS guys, if they have to, will fight to accomplish their mission.

It looks like this SS guy had to fight.

Good catch, snopercod. The Secret Service agent turned the tide on the Chilean guard.

Like a true Texan - President Bush looked out for his own. We are so blessed to have a man such as this in the White house. I ask you, can you image what Klintoon would have done in a similar situation? That SS Agent would likely have been turned over to the chileans and arrested...

On to another topic - who the F&^K do those chileans think they are? Expecting our President to attend a dinner where NONE went through a metal detector?

I propose an immediate campaign to recind ALL American Aid to that country. These world guv'mint, leftist swine are really getting out of hand. Perhpas it's time to tighten the Uncle's generous purse strings...
