What I want to know is where is that agent's back? He was not the solitary Secret Service agent so what's up with two Chileans on one agent and no back-up?

Of course we can't see what happens in the next 10 seconds. But still, these Secret Service agents don't let anyone get between them and the President, nor let anyone put their hands on them. It's usually down-boom-bad-guy falls, and bad guy stays down awhile.

Who is the man in the foreground? He is obviously trying to sheild the incident from the camera. This was planned and coordinated by more than one.

President Bush did foil his own assasination. Is he back home yet?

I don't think so. A few seconds before this, the other agent (the one W would later pull from the crowd) tried to follow W through the door, just 3 feet behind W. A Chilean agent stepped out from behind the door frame to block him. Clearly, the Chilean agents were under strong orders to let no one except the two Leaders (Chile and Foreign) and their spouses pass through that door. They had four agents just inside the doorway, two on each side, prepared to block all comers.

I doubt that too. If you are in a room full of armed men who are practiced in violence and murder, who intend to kill you, who know that they will have to act fast and without questions, who anticipated with considerable planning you being there at that time and place with them, and who are absolutely determined to see you dead, the armed men don't turn their back on you to keep out the Secret Service. You die, right then.
