President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
Evil. Nothing short of evil.
(He forgave them. :o)
I am glad he did! :-)
I tell ya, W really *made* my Thanksgiving last year too. It was the first time in my life I was alone for a holiday. My son-in-law had been deployed to Iraq from Germany, my youngest daughter had gone to Germany to live and help the oldest daughter with the grandkids and the birth of their 4th child. So, they were *all* gone. BUT when the news bulletin interrupted to say that George W Bush was having Thanksgiving Dinner with the 1st Armored Division... my day was *truly* made THANKFUL! :-)
sweet.....
LOL. :-)

Brave man, eh, mountaingirl.......bet he didn't think a thing about it.
you know they are going to nuke it... ;)
They're so bummin' when we really have to assert ourselves to defend the Constitution.

LOL!! I'll bet he did! That had to have been one awesome Thanksgiving Day for him!
MY........how this year will be better than last for us! But what a great moment that was for us all!
This man is SUCH a leader!!
I posed as a moderate Dem twice and was banned twice for merely suggesting that Hillary would be the nominee and that the Ohio recount was useless. I wonder if they know that fully 50% of their "members" are posers making fun of them? I have so many aliases there I get confused myself.

...I think the Secret Service agent or agents were doing just that....making a ruckus to get the President's attention....to let him know they weren't covering his back...
...Something is very wrong with all of this.
I don't either. There's one photo where the President is completely alone..looking back at the near altercation taking place outside.
At that moment he should have been surrounded by the other members of his detail and whisked away.
This is inexcusably sloppy work by the Secret Service.
Understandable, yes; but our President trumps their "macho."
It must be a b!tch to have all this "macho," but nothing to back it up with.
ohhhhhh yeah!!!!!
Please thank your son for me for protecting all of us in God's great place - the USA.
LOL, just went back over there to find the sane, lone voice and saw what I am assuming is your post. I do love a man that takes matters into his own hands don't you? :)
Tom was ecstatic! He was a Reagan conservative to begin with. Loved W from the beginning. But when Bush showed up for dinner - it bowled him over! He is still talking about it. :-)
We here in the FR Hobbit Hole had adopted Tom's platoon for troop support and had been sending them packages for months. I heard great things from the guys in the platoon about that visit. I am fairly certain that every last one of those guys would have loved to be there to confront those Chilians today! Chili woulda been toast! So much for foreign relations! LOL
I will relay your thanks to Tom. He will smile and look humble and just say he was doing his job. :-)
I would think at least two agents should be glued to his side at all times---photo ops be damned!
