I know everyone cringes at the words vainity in the title of a thread. Hang with me here. I just wanted to post the URL for the support group for the troops that we have here in Arizona.
It is a group comprised of freepers, neighbors, and concerned Arizona residents that do a monthly care package drive to send care packages to Units that we know that are station overseas. Currently this involves our very own freeper Wingnutx. He is currently in Iraq helping the rebulding effort. Currently we are supporting about 50-75 soldiers and saliors that are station there sending care packages filled with things like soap,hand sainitizer,redi-wipes,and other hygine and health maintaince products along with socks underwear and other need goods. We send things along the same lines as groups such as proudpatriots.org etc.
We do this to give our fighting me a reminder that they are never forgotten back home. We realize that the sacrifice they are making overseas far outweighs the issues that we have to put up with on a daily basis. I just wanted to let the Free Republic community know who we are and what we do.
I know there are many veterans that are on Free Republic, I am one of them. They more then most understand the importance of supporting out troops when they are deployed away from home for long periods of time. I am not asking for any donations for our group with this vanity. I just wanted to introduce who we are and what we are doing.
